Nio is preparing to establish a joint venture with power battery company Honeycomb Energy, and the two parties will jointly develop large cylindrical batteries. The preliminary plan is that NIO and Honeycomb Energy will jointly invest in a trial production line in Ma'anshan, and some of the R&D personnel of the two companies will also be merged, but the manufacturing and procurement of both parties will remain independent.
