In paint recipes,INV® PTSI will react with residual moisture in pigments and solvents to produce carbon dioxide and soluble inactive compounds . In theory, 12 grams of INV® PTSI needs to react with 1 gram of water, but experience shows that it is more effective when used in larger quantities.

3. Rinse the empty container with the solution listed in the table below, or open it and store it in a safe place for a few days. Because INV® PTSI is highly reactive with water, due to the fact that atmospheric moisture can react with material remaining in empty containers to form a white solid.
